The recent episode of Silo seems to be setting up the last 4 episodes of the season.
Pete and Mike from So Many Mashups discuss the events from the latest episode of Silo.
The Drive:
Daniel and Helen left off in the last episode with the van they are driving being taken over by some unseen thing. During this episode, they are driven to a location a ways away because it seemed to take a while to get there, but that also gives them time to talk. At one point, they get an escort from multiple vehicles; some are police vehicles with the red and blue lights on their light bars. One of the people in one of the cars is the old guy they talked to in a previous episode. Pete and Mike call him a government fixer, but is he more prominent than that? Daniel and Helen wind up at a small airport next to an airplane hangar, and there waiting for them is Senator Thurman. She asks them if they want to help save the world.

Meanwhile in the Silo:
Sheriff Billings and Hank investigate the stolen light bulbs, and that leads them to want to question Knox’s dad. However, when Knox goes to talk with his dad, it is revealed that he died two years prior. Is that actually true? Maybe we will find out in the next episode.
Speaking of Knox, we find out that Shirley is pregnant, and that worries us at SMS Mashups, because I believe anyone in the Silo wanting to have children needs to be approved by the higher-ups.
Juliette reveals to Camile that she remembers everything and that she wants to talk to “The Voice” to get permission to carry out a plan where two people leave to go to Silo 17 to help bring back a handful of survivors. The two Juliette requests at the start are Knox and Shirley, but that is denied because if they were to be lost, the Silo’s chances of survival decrease by 34%. Instead, Juliette asks for Kennedy and Lucas Kyle to be sent instead, which is approved by the Voice. However, that may be a ploy from the Voice and Camile to send them off to die instead of continuing to cause more problems in Silo 16.
The Voice tells Camile it is time to release the Vitamin D+ into the drinking supply, but Camile says it has already been done. We saw Camile tell someone to add the Vitamin to the water supply, but did it actually go in?
This was a good episode, not the best of the season, but it is setting the stage for the final 4 episodes of the season. How can Daniel and Helen help save the planet? What is the Voice character? In the subtitles, it is listed as the Algorithm, which means it is most likely an AI computer of some sort. What is the ultimate objective of The Voice?
