The three Michael Connelly-verse shows have wrapped up their next seasons, and in one case, the final season.

Michael Connelly announced that the three shows featuring characters he created have all wrapped filming.

The Lincoln Lawyer:

The Lincoln Lawyer (Netflix), going into its fifth season, will unfortunately be its final season. The new season is taking elements from the book Resurrection Walk as its premise, and I have been seeing some behind-the-scenes pictures. I know it will be bittersweet to watch, but at least the showrunners and writers had a heads-up that it would be its last season, so that they could end the series on their terms.

Ballard: Season 2- (Pics from S1)

The second season, which we have been waiting quite a while for, will be using elements from The Waiting. And after that cliffhanger ending in season 1, I hope that Ballard gets to put the cuffs on whoever is setting her up. The first season was a big hit for Prime Video, and news of a second season took a while to announce. Ballard stars Maggie Q as Renée Ballard and co-stars John Carroll Lynch, Courtney Taylor, Rebecca Field, Victoria Moroles, Amy Hill, and Michael Mosley. Titus Welliver, who stepped back into the role of Harry Bosch, appeared in three episodes.

In recent news, Titus stated that he will appear in another three episodes of season 2. Will he assist in finding out who set up Ballard to take the fall for the murder of Robert Olivas? Like in the book, will Maddie Bosch make an appearance? In the book The Waiting, Maddie uncovers information on an extremely cold case that has plagued the city for decades.

Bosch: Start of Watch:

This is a show that I cannot wait to see what they do with a younger version of Harry Bosch. Titus really brought this character to life; as Michael Connelly once wrote in a dedication to Titus in a novel, “Thank you for breathing life into Harry Bosch.”

The show is set in 1991, as a young Harry has just started his career in the LAPD as a probationary officer. There has not been a lot of material to go off of from the Michael Connelly novels, and I am looking forward to what Cameron Monaghan brings to the table as Harry Bosch. The series will also star Omari Hardwick as Eli Bridges, a veteran LAPD officer and Harry’s training officer.

Bosch: Start of Watch is produced by Fabel Entertainment and was co-created and executive-produced by Tom Bernardo and Brian Anthony, with Bernardo serving as the showrunner. Michael Connelly, Henrik Bastin, Jamie Boscardin Martin, and Jasmine Russ will serve as executive producers, and Theresa Snider will serve as co-executive producer for Hieronymus Pictures.
